Gail Masson has over 15 years professional clinical experience in the medical field as a doctors' assistant/ receptionist as well as 12 years of medical billing and managing of an individual physician’s office.

She has worked with a variety of specialists, such as Dr. P.K. Adhikari, Internal Medicine, Dr. Ian Maxwell, Hematology and Oncology, at the Winnipeg Clinic, and Dr. Nobby Woo, General Surgery and Endoscopy. This work required extensive multi-tasking and a strong understanding of the different disciplines. She was responsible for various office duties, assisting the physicians if required and the medical billing, making sure no claim was left unchallenged.

Gail has two years experience working for a medical billing service bureau. She therefore has a good comprehensive knowledge of the operations of an electronic medical billing service.

Gail’s clinical experience in a medical practice, the day to day operations of a medical office and professional knowledge in the electronic medical billing field has afforded her the confidence, knowledge and professionalism needed to handle all aspects of the electronic medical billing service industry.

Gail Masson has extensive knowledge in all areas of the Physicians Manual published by Manitoba Health Services Commission, the rules of application and the general schedule. She also has knowledge of the ICD-9 codes and Tariff codes needed for billing.

In June of 2006 she started her own electronic medical billing service and founded Billing Options Ltd.
